Friends don’t let friends wear contrasting prints.
I think this is the best solution for all parties, really.
This panel is everything I love about Max Lord. “Oh, sup Batman. Breaking in, taking over your team, bringing my own recruit, no big deal.”
I love that everyone is like HEY YOU INTRUDING JERKS and Ted’s like “…Hey to you.”

DC Comics’ most shameless superhero could be getting his own hour-long drama on SyFy. According to The Hollywood Reporter, SyFy has ordered a pilot script for a potential Booster Gold series, which will be written by Fringe and Warehouse 13 co-executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. The project is reportedly being helmed by Berlanti Productions and Warner Horizon Television, with founder Greg Berlanti (Green Lantern, No Ordinary Family) and Kreisberg aiming to co-executive produce the pilot.
I CAN’T FEEL MY FACE
Booster Gold, is there nothing you won’t do?
My friend Erica started a Tumblr, and she is working a series of B-list DC beefcake, so if that isn’t a reason to follow her I DON’T KNOW WHAT IS
YES.
YES FOREVER.

All right, I’m writing up a proper Jaime Reyes masterpost, but for now, ‘cause there are some folks I know would like this, here’s his complete first solo title on Megaupload:
Downloading the shit out of this.
If you want to see the kind of comic DC should be making, read this incarnation of Blue Beetle. It stars Jaime Reyes, a smart, funny, real-seeming Mexican-American teenager from El Paso who finds himself embroiled in a world of superheroes and alien artifacts that have fused to his spine. His ethnicity is a part of his character without being stereotyped or mocked, his family and friends are strong characters who are easy to love, and both of the art and writing on the book are consistently top-notch. I could not be more excited about experiencing this series from the beginning.
You’re welcome.
I am the last person to disapprove of downloading comics - I have this whole series torrented - but I’d like to encourage anyone reading this who likes the series to please also consider buying the trades, if you are financially and logistically able to do so. The whole series is collected in them, including Jaime’s backup feature in Booster Gold after his own series was canceled, and all except the first one are still in print. (And I bet you can find it easily on eBay and in bookstores.)
I very rarely encourage people to give DC money, but buying the trades is the best way to show DC that you want more comics like this: smart, funny, exciting (if you are not on the edge of your seat by End Game you might actually be dead), with a minority hero who is a fully-realized character, and cute as a bug’s ear to boot. Yeah, you can write DC letters, but the strongest argument is green and has dead presidents on it. And this way if his current lackluster series bombs DC will know it’s the lousy writing and not the character.
I also rarely encourage people to give Amazon money, so feel free to choose your preferred bookseller instead, but here are the trades, and the issues they collect:
1. Shellshocked (1-6)
2. Road Trip (7-12)
3. Reach for the Stars (13-19)
4. End Game (20-26)
5. Boundaries (29-34)
6. Black and Blue (27-28, 35-36, plus the backup feature in Booster Gold 21-25, 28-29)
Again, I also download comics! I have downloaded these comics specifically! I am not trying to be a scold. But do try to pick up the trades if you’re able to. They’re worth it.

Jaime Reyes was trying to save his best friend when an alien weapon attached itself to his spine. Now, if he wants to live to see tomorrow, Jaime must defeat a team of Super-Villains who want the weapon for more nefarious purposes.
1. Does this mean that the masterpiece of storytelling that is the first arc of Jaime’s old series is no longer canon? Because that’s a very sad thing for the world.
2. Does rebooting all of Jaime mean that TED is no longer canon? Because if so, I will reenact this cover by RENDING MY GARMENTS IN RAGE.
